about
Every Damn Day celebrated its 30th anniversary with the release of a new single, "Audio," in 2021. "Audio" pays homage to a high school senior with a cool nickname, a fake ID and a sense of adventure. The music was recorded in 1991; vocals and additional tracks were recorded in 2020.
lyrics
Oh, Audio!
Ice-blue eyes, lips like pillows
Born ten years too late
Picture me: It's 1980
So confused and insecure
Could have used a drink or two
Or three or four
Just your average high-school senior
No ambition, no identity
Oh, what Audio could have done for me
Ice-blue eyes, lips like pillows
Born ten years too late
Oh, Audio!
Alabama slammin'
Kamikaze, vodka jello
Wishing it was 1980
If I could relive my youth
So many things that I wouldn't remember
Probably would have started college
In September
Maybe I was born too early
Ah, what's the difference
Oh, Audio!
Oh, help me, Rhonda!
Oh, help, help me Rhonda!
Oh, help me, Rhonda!
(Oh, Audio!)
